This website contains paintings, photographs, posters and drawings, made in the past 23 years.
From 2000 until 2012 I've mainly kept myself busy with photography and image manipulation. This includes publicity work for Rederijkerskamer Sappho Loppersum, website management, posters and flyers and photo's of stage performances, with help of Open Source tool GIMP. After that I broadened my experience at the artgroup of Jan Eykenaar in the Clockhuijs in Haren.
From 2017 until 2020 lessons in modeldrawing from Tiny Buurke, inspiring artist en teacher, weekly at the Poortershoes in Groningen. In 2019 a portrait painting course at the Klassieke Academie Groningen, from Anne-Rixt Kuik. Van 2021 tot 2024 cursussen portretschilderen van o.a. Ruben Postema, Annelies Middel, Ad Kempers and Joyce Eijkhout at the Noorderateliers in Groningen
I still find drawing and painting people and animals fascinating and a real challenge, offering endless possibilities for expression. At this moment I find surreal paintings particularly interesting.
Expositons: Library Loppersum (2011), PsyQ Groningen (2012), Clockhuijs Haren (2018 en 2019), Open Ateliers Haren (2022, 2023, 2024), Woonzorgcentrum Westerholm (2024).
